Come embody Resilience with Cumbe! Move to live drumming through a full-body warm-up, dynamic exercises across the floor, and choreography rooted in traditional West African dances. This is dance as a way to connect with your roots and understand culture through embodied practice — energetic, joyful, and open to everyone from first-timers to seasoned dancers. Led by teaching artist Tenenfig Dioubate, who brings a lifetime of experience and deep cultural knowledge to the studio.

Part of Dance for Joy, Cumbe's donation-based series culminating in a student performance. Pay what you can, $5–$45 — every class, every level.

Sundays, September 20 – November 22, 2026 | 12:30–2pm | w/ Tenefig Dioubate
