Spring into Rhythm with Batalá.” It's time to drum and dance with Batalá. In this 8 week performance workshop series, New York's premiere, Black-led Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble will teach you how to drum while dancing to the rhythms that you create, drawing on the wisdom that your body already has.

Have fun and get fit while learning Afro-Brazilian music and dance performance as joyful resistance to oppression, healing body and self awareness, and solidarity in diversity and community. The workshop will culminate in a celebratory open class and performance.

All genders welcome. No experience necessary. Instruments and accessories provided on a first come first served basis.
