Labor Day in Haiti takes place in Haiti on May 1st where Kouzen Zaka the spirit of earth & agriculture, is celebrated. “Konbit”, is the collaborative work among farmers to reach one goal. In the spirit of Konbit this workshop intends to bring the dance community together to explore the agricultural dances of Djouba, Kontre danse and Abitan.

A community coming together cultivating one goal, unity. Biodiversity by farmers collaborating with each other from planting to harvesting.
