Vado Diomande

West African Dance

  • When Vado dances, he forgets everything; worries, burdens, responsibilities, leaving only joy, rhythm, and release.  Dance for Vado is a transcendent experience, and in his classes, he shares that feeling with every step, every beat, and every smile.  In this 10 week, donation-based class, students will be transported through the rich and vibrant dance traditions of the Ivory Coast, featuring styles like Kookoo, Bademalon, N'Goron, Temate, Katana, Bolohi, and more.  With over 60 ethnic influences woven into the movement, each class becomes a celebration of heritage, community, and pure joy.  Vado's teaching invites you to move beyond the everyday into something rooted and sacred.
