Learn Samba from its African roots through Salvador, Bahia, to its evolution as Brazil's national dance in Rio de Janeiro's famous Carnival. Explore forms from Rio and Bahia — Samba no Pé, Miudinho, Samba Reggae, Samba Afro and more — alongside Afro-Brazilian movement originating from Angola, Congo, Benin, and Nigeria. Led by teaching artist Quenia Ribeiro, this class pairs a thorough warm-up and isolations with strengthening, stretching, and a relaxing cool down.

This season's theme is Resilience. Donation-based and culminating in a student performance — pay what you can, $5–$45. Every class, every level.
