Afro-Cuban Series is a celebration of African diasporic culture through dance, rhythm, and ancestral tradition — guiding students of all levels on a journey through the movement, spirituality, and living heritage of Afro-Cuban expression. This series unfolds over three sessions; detailed information for each class is listed below by date and class title.

AFRO-CUBAN DANCE CLASS
Saturday, May 30th, 2026 - 2-3:30pm

Explore the depth and richness of Afro-Cuban dance through grounded movement, rhythm, and cultural expression. Rooted in the African diaspora, this class introduces foundational folkloric styles, building coordination, musicality, and strength. Students will connect to the history and energy behind the movement while developing technique and personal expression. Open to all levels.


ORISHA FEMININITY FLOW
Saturday, June 6th, 2026 - 2-4pm

Orisha Femininity Flow is a transformative workshop curated by a resilient Afro-Latina woman deeply rooted in the performing arts and rich Cuban heritage. This empowering dance class offers a sacred space for women of all backgrounds to reconnect with their femininity, explore their womanhood, and nurture their well-being through expressive art.


CUBAN RUMBA CLASS
Saturday, June 13th, 2026 - 2-3:30pm


Dive into the vibrant, rhythmic world of Cuban Rumba. This class focuses on foundational rumba movement, musicality, and improvisation, emphasizing connection between the body and the drum. Rooted in community and expression, students will explore both the playful and powerful elements of this tradition. All levels welcome—come ready to move, connect, and express.
