We are excited to welcome back Jean Rene Delsoin as he joins Julio for Gede, Haiti’s ancestral celebration of life, death, and rebirth. The Gede spirits, or lwa, carry the wisdom of fertility, conception, and the eternal cycle of life and death, reminding us of their unity. Under the guidance of Julio and Jean Rene, we’ll explore the traditions of spirits like Gede Nibo, Papa Gede/Bawon Samdi, and Maman Brigitte.
Come dressed in purple, black, and white to embrace the festive spirit, and feel free to add elements like canes, dark glasses, top hats, and/or face paint. Refreshments will be served!
